Why this Sky?

Excellent
It struck me,  while loading the
dishwasher this evening, that
one of things that is so likeable about Peter Gabriel is that he has never tried to be The
Beatles. Nor, to my
knowledge has Laurie

Mars Attacks!?!

It's perfect weather for a late summer ambush as our Earth and Mars pass " closer together than at any time in almost 60,000 years"

Sock Dream

3 socks begin: "sock dreams:: "

I'm folding laundry and it occurs to me that selling a package of 3 socks might be a good idea. Not three pair. Two left, one right, maybe opposite, maybe random but three single socks. It would be a nice way for the sock manufacturers to show they care. Hey, we know these little guys wander off and we don't know what to do about it either, but here's an extra. Match it up with a loner maybe or keep it safe until that inevitable day. Dream Sock Kind of like the shirt's extra buttons. Of course, it's a 50% increase but raise the price a little, let the 2 packs=3 pair deal be understated. It would make for good marketing.

BTW

Forgot to mention: 2 out 3 java.sun.com RSS examples agree, Userland feeds really do taste better. For example:

That must be kind of nice. Congrats Dave

Finally: If you're not content just using and want to start abusing RSS (and with 7 different specs, likewise I'm sure), you can get your fingers dirty at the RSS Utilities Tutorial. Yeah, I know JSP, but a ready-made tag library with parsing as well as clean access does put the simple into the syndication (proof --it's a 1-page tutorial!). Have Fun
Post-modern inbred blogging continues here on Outside the Loop with Sun's opening salvos: Get your Java RSS Feeds while they're hot. They can be so leading edge --what's next, embracing Linux? Oh, yeah....
?? Incestuous blogging ?? or coolly post-modern....you decide. Three interesting RSS links on three useful levels. First up, a good who's on first-time intro to all that RSS on XML.com [Apr. 30, 2003]
